The shower room circuit tripped whenever the light switch was turned on. The cause was traced, and the faulty part was bought and fitted the same day.

About this type of work
Bathrooms and shower rooms are classed as special locations in the wiring regulations because water and electricity are close together. Tripping in these rooms is often caused by moisture getting into a fitting, so the fault should be traced properly rather than the protective device being reset again and again.
